The role

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the Chennai office. You will work within the Product team to design and develop new products and features for our clients. You will be understanding and documenting requirements as part of creating the development spec.

You'll be an experienced, level-headed team-player who relishes influence over authority and cares about delivering quality at all times.

You will enjoy the variety of working across a range of projects, sectors and types of product.

Your understanding of business operations will benefit projects that involve building entire business systems.

You will want to take on responsibility and be able to deliver a defined set of work without supervision.

You should have a preference towards working in a fast-paced small company.

Key tasks

On a typical day, you may be:

• Attending client meetings (typically remotely, by phone or Skype)
• Documenting meeting outcomes
• Analysing client requirements
• Documenting client requirements
• Writing user stories from documented requirements
• Writing acceptance criteria for user stories
• Manually testing acceptance criteria from user stories
• Working with product managers to refine and agree scope and detail of tasks
• Helping product team with product related work as necessary

Key skills

You will need to be able to deliver accurate and detailed documentation, and your skills will reflect this.

Essential Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Highly analytical
• Excellent attention to detail

Desirable Skills

• Full SDLC experience
• Knowledge of Agile Scrum / Kanban
• Ability to write acceptance criteria
• Wireframing
• QA testing

Desirable Tools

• JIRA, Confluence
• Excel, Word
• Balsamiq / Axure-RD
