About Starlly
Starlly builds SaaS products for teams that run complex physical operations – factories, plants, campuses, equipment networks, and field service teams spread across multiple sites. These are the people who keep production lines running, utilities online, assets monitored, and service commitments delivered on time.
We work with mid-market and growth-stage companies that are upgrading how they plan, monitor, and manage their day-to-day operations using software. You will help us take this story into new cities and new accounts.
Role overview
We are looking for a City Growth Associate who can own a city and help us open doors, run pilots, and close early deals. This is a field-first, early-career role designed for someone who enjoys talking to people, is comfortable walking into plants and facilities, and wants to learn B2B sales by doing it on the ground.
You will not be in a pure inside-sales role. You will be out in the field, understanding how operations actually run and helping teams adopt simple tools that make their work more predictable and transparent.
What you will do
Find and open the right accounts
-
Identify companies in your city that run multi-site or complex physical operations (factories, plants, campuses, distributed equipment, service networks).
-
Use LinkedIn, job boards, local networks, and market signals to spot operators who are expanding, standardising processes, or formalising their operations.
-
Reach out via calls, messages, email, and in-person visits to set up conversations with decision-makers and key influencers.
Run sharp, structured conversations
-
Start conversations by understanding how many sites or assets they manage, who is responsible, and how they currently monitor performance and issues.
-
Listen for gaps around visibility, coordination, compliance, and response time, and connect those to where our products can add value.
-
Do basic demos (we’ll train you), share relevant examples, and position pilots and phased rollouts instead of pushing for all-or-nothing decisions.
Support pilots and early customers
-
Once a customer agrees to try us, be their local point of contact.
-
Coordinate site visits, onboarding sessions, and follow-ups with managers, engineers, and supervisors.
-
Capture feedback clearly and translate it into actionable inputs for our product, sales, and implementation teams.
Build local relationships and market insight
-
Build relationships with local vendors, facility managers, equipment dealers, and service providers who already operate in these environments.
-
Track local developments like new plants, capacity additions, campus expansions, or new maintenance or service contracts.
-
Share concise, regular updates with the team so we can refine targeting, playbooks, and product positioning city by city.
Who we’re looking for
Experience:
-
0–3 years in sales, business development, operations, or any customer-facing role (internships and part-time roles count).
-
Final-year students or fresh graduates are welcome if you can commit serious time and show strong ownership.
You might be a fit if:
-
You enjoy talking to people from different backgrounds – plant heads, facility managers, business owners, supervisors – and can hold a structured conversation.
-
You’re either naturally witty or quietly strong; you can stay calm, ask direct questions, and handle pushback without losing your footing.
-
You like being on the move more than sitting behind a desk all day.
-
You’re curious about how real-world operations work – how a plant is run, how a campus is maintained, how equipment and assets are monitored and serviced.
-
You take ownership: you follow through on commitments and don’t require constant supervision.
-
You’re comfortable with ambiguity and like the idea of helping shape the script rather than just following one.
You do not need prior experience in SaaS or industrial domains. We will train you on the product and give you enough context to start strong.
What you’ll get
-
Performance-linked upside: A meaningful variable component on top of a modest base or stipend, so your earnings grow as your city grows.
-
Real ownership early: You will own a geography and see direct impact in terms of customers opened, pilots launched, and accounts won.
-
Learning by doing: Practical exposure to B2B sales, operations-heavy customers, and working closely with founders and senior team members.
-
Path to growth: Strong performers can move into City Lead or Account Executive roles, handle larger accounts, and mentor new hires.
Engagement options
We’re flexible, as long as you’re serious and consistent:
-
Full-time City Growth Associate (0–3 years):
-
Modest base salary plus performance incentives.
-
Field-first role with clear targets and support.
-
-
Structured Internship (3–6 months):
-
Stipend plus incentives for meetings, pilots, and deals.
-
Clear criteria for conversion to full-time if both sides see a fit.
-
We’ll align specifics (city, engagement mode, targets) during the interview process.
How to apply
Send us:
-
Your resume or LinkedIn profile
-
A short note (5–7 lines) about:
-
A time you convinced someone to say “yes” to something important, or
-
A situation where you took initiative and drove an outcome without being asked
-
We care more about your energy, ownership, and ability to learn than a perfect CV.
