Software Developer

The role:
● Build and maintain a robust data warehouse for both externally sourced and internally
derived data
● Create and deploy automated processes to load, clean, and analyze data
● Create APIs for developers and researchers
● Connect processes on different systems and platforms into a cohesive workflow
● Develop tools for portfolio managers and researchers

Required qualifications:
● Extremely proficient in Java or Python or C#
● Experience in front end technologies like AngularJS, CSS/HTML
● Strong familiarity with Linux OS
● Computer science degree from top institution
● Good communication and teamwork skills

Desired qualifications:
● Keeps up with and utilizes latest best practices in all aspects of software development:
documentation, testing, code readability, versioning, etc.
● Familiarity with AWS or other cloud architectures
● Experience designing and managing databases, including nonrelational
(MySQL, SQL
Server, Oracle, NoSQL)
● Familiar with wide array of modern software tools and techniques (e.g. Eclipse, Git,
Maven, Sweave, YAML), deploying applications, and deployment workflows such as
Gitflow
● Very familiar with security best practices
● IT administration experience
● Eager to selfeducate
on cutting edge tools and techniques, driven to constantly
improve and streamline systems
● Brings new approaches to systems design; able to confidently suggest improvements
and discuss merits and faults of each
