Senior Software Engineer -QA

Job Scope:

Responsible for implementation of automation testing, evaluation of development modules and contribute to the quality plan for the Finance domain (mortgage) platform for one of the International Clients.

 Job Responsibilities:

- Prepare Cucumber based BDD Framework automation scripts using Ruby programing language in Ruby Mine IDE to verify Web Application functionalities.

- Estimate, plan and coordinate testing activities and escalate issues and challenges to the offsite team and execute solutions

- Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to mitigate and address the deployment issues

-  Liaise with internal teams (Eg: developers and product managers) to identify system requirements

- Prepare reports and collaborate with the onsite development team

- Track Quality Assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts

- Execute, investigate and report on the success of automated and manual tests as part of an agile development lifecycle

- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the API, Web UI and DB automation framework to meet business needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, security and reliability

 Qualification and Experience:

- Graduate (B.E/B. Tech) / Post graduate (M.E./M.Tech)

- 3- 5 years of experience in automation testing ( 2-3 Years of experience in Behaviour Driven Development Testing Tools such as Cucumber, Capybara and Selenium Webdriver using Ruby Programming Language)

Knowledge and Skills:

- Excellent knowledge of QA metrics, operations, Agile Scrum Technology and statistical techniques.

- Knowledge in developing test plan, assessing risk, filing appropriate defects, and providing relevant data for test reporting

- Extensive knowledge in testing tools like Jenkins, TeamCity, Github and Bitbucket, etc, preferred

- Extensive knowledge on “Cloud” such as AWS or Azure preferred

- Knowledge on automation Script preparation, debugging and Scripts Execution

- Ability to work in 24x7 environment

- Exposure in dynamic, fast-paced, multi-task, offshore and onsite assignments is essential
