Hiring The Eye To Test - Manual Test Engineer

You should have:

• 2-5 years of experience supporting quality assurance and/or application development
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and QA role
• Experience with change management and defect tracking tools
• Strong analytical background with troubleshooting quality assurance testing
• Ability to work cross-functionally to solve complex problems and improve quality and service
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information.

You will be Responsible for:

• Develop quality assurance standards, define and track quality assurance.
• Participate in test strategy, test estimation and planning discussions. 
• Develop and execute manual scripts for requirement validation, functional, integration, regression, performance and usability testing.
• Create Test Plan, Business Test Scenario and Requirements Traceability Matrix documents.
• Document, analyze and communicate test results and assist with defect management.
• Effective communication with all stakeholders on a regular basis
• Perform data validation on ETL job processes and database changes.
• Perform validation of web applications
• Create and maintain reusable test data for testing efforts.
• Create and execute SQL scripts to be used for test validation.
• Maintain an understanding of current and new testing technologies.
• Assist with technical artifacts and can engage in technical discussions
• Responsible for defect identification, documentation, communication and following through to resolution according to business requirements
• Identifies and implements enhanced testing techniques, practices, and methodologies for the testing environment. Supports research and benchmarking activities.

Good to Have:

• Experience with TDD, ATDD or BTDD is preferred plus
• Experience with Confluence & JIRA is a plus 
• Experience with automation tools is a plus
